Page-A-Day Calendar Contests (Old World Charm / Future Fantastic) ELIGIBILITY Anyone is eligible to submit artwork for consideration for inclusion. Multiple entries to one or more calendars is welcome. Not all submissions will be accepted for publication. DEADLINE Submissions will be accepted through September 30th for the following year's calendar. Any submissions after that date will be considered for the next year of the same theme calendar. WINNER SELECTION A total of 10 finalists will be selected from entries chosen for publication for each calendar. Those 10 finalists will be voted on by the public, and the winner will be the recipient of the grand prize. PRIZES One grand prize winner for each calendar for each year will be awarded a $500 printing credit to use at KENESS at any point during the namesake year of the calendar in which their entry is published as well as 5 copies of that year's calendar. The 9 remaining finalists will each receive one copy of that year's calendar. The credit can be used for any costs at KENESS, and does not need to be used at one time. Shipping of product is only available to the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia. If the winner has a non-compatible address, they may either gift the prize to someone else or ship to an alternate compatible address. REQUIREMENTS Artwork must be the sole property and original creation of the entrant. The artwork does not need to be a new and/or unpublished creation, but entrant must have the rights necessary to allow publication if selected. Artwork must not be AI generated or enhanced. Artwork must not be such that it is illegal to publish. Old World Charm and Future Fantastic are considered "SFW" publications. RIGHTS Original artist retains all rights for any use of their artwork. If not selected for the year to which it was submitted, the artwork may be considered for future years of the same theme calendar. Submission of artwork grants KENESS specific, limited rights only. Those rights include permission to publish in the calendar of the theme to which it was submitted, and for marketing purposes exclusively relating to the calendar project. Any uses in marketing will be as a "sample page" style representation and all artist preferred contact and social links will be clearly legible. Original artist may remove their submission from consideration for publication at any point up until printing has physically begun. At that point the limited publishing rights granted to KENESS upon submission are binding, however the right for KENESS to use the artwork for marketing relating to the calendar project will be considered removed. If the artwork is being considered for the cover or packaging of the calendar, original artist will first be contacted for approval as marketing rights for those premium locations are binding. SPECIFICATIONS Physical calendar dimensions are 5"x5". The live area for artwork is 4.5" wide x 4" high. Old World Charm and Future Fantastic will be produced in B&W/grayscale, and are intended for sketch-style artwork pieces. Color artwork is acceptable, but it might not be possible to accept for publication if the conversion to B&W/grayscale results in poor contrast or brightness. The artwork will be printed without bleed, so hard edges, borders or solid background colors could render the piece technically challenging and impossible to accept for publication. TERMS Terms and requirements may change. Any change to rights-related terms will be individually directly confirmed with each entrant prior to publication. If it is not possible to contact an entrant in such an instance, the entry will be removed from consideration.
